Some Really Old Pictures

What I present here are some really old pictures. Old is relative, but I put these pictures on my first Web Pages in 1997/98. They are (very poor) scans of not so good analog photos. In other words - not much to look at. Still, it is history.... (The pictures below are clickable.)

Old good times...

In old good times in Poland we used to spend all Summer vacations on Polish Mazury lakes, sailing here and there. This picture was taken during our last (so far) Mazury trip in June'91. Another picture from Mazury vacations in June'91. After we left Poland most of our contacts with water were like those presented here: Dead Sea.

I, Andrzej

My favourite work place: a bench on Givat Ram Campus, Jerusalem Again ... In Jerusalem The following picture was taken in our apartment in Boise in August'98. (This is our "computer room"  -  my another work place, though not so favourite...)

My family

This is my younger sister, Ewa. She is a pharmacists and she lives and works in Chicago, Illinois.  Sometimes I have an impression that she is the most stubborn person in my family (in the positive meaning of the expression). She often picks almost   impossible aims, works nights and days - and gets where she wants to get! From left: My Mom (Krystyna) , my wife (Gosia) and Erwin. Krystyna and Erwin are extremely busy (and hard working) people.  They live in Warsaw, Poland and are doing very well there. That was a great success that we managed to convince them to come to Israel for a couple of days. This is my Dad - he works and lives in Chicago.

Gosia

Gosia and Jack (the dog) in our old apartment in Wroclaw (June'91). Gosia's first visit to Israel in December'91. We had a very nice weather then: rain, rain, rain.... This picture should be called "Gosia and Cardinal Arithmetic"

Gosia in Jerusalem, October'94 This picture was taken in December'95 in Saharon Shelah's office (in Jerusalem). Saharon was then in the US and we used his office occasionally. Sometimes, instead of working we went to the Old City in Jerusalem (and this picture is supposed to prove it).

Dogs   Both Gosia and I like dogs. We used to have a dog in Poland ("Jack"), however we had to leave him with my family. (BTW: he is perfectly happy with my aunt Roma and I do not think they would like to split.) In Israel we found a very young street dog. She was starving, scared and she needed our help. And thus she joined us (as "Kropka"). At some moment we even had two dogs - Kropka brought home another homeless dog "Znajda". We found a very good place for Znajda, and after a couple of weeks she went to her new family. The story of Kropka has a very sad end: one day, on our standard way to work, she ate something and died. We tried to do everything to help her but... (Can you imagine, in Israel they put poisons on streets!!!!)

Szelma, my mother's dog.

Jack. He was a great
companion in our
sailing adventures.....
