Lab 8 - Instructions to Scanning your Aerial Photograph (Library)
1.Bring Aerial Photograph to UNO Library.
2.Find Scanner Located near front West Wall - ask for help if you can't find it.
3.Place Aerial Photograph face down on the Scanner Bed and close the lid.
4.You will store the .tiff on a memory stick (look on the left side of the minitor for USB port) if you have one or else on myfolder (start web browser goto myfolder.
5.Log in using your UNO NET ID and password.
6.Start the Adobe Photshop CS2 application.
7.Click on File, Import, WIA-HP Scanjet 4800 series
8.Choose Preview.
9.Click on Adjust Quality, choose 600 DPI and grayscale.
10.Adjust the scan extents.
11.Scan then, wait until the scanner is done working and the Aerial Photograph appears in the application.
12.Choose File > Save As and choose your location (myfolder or memory stick), Save in a TIFF format, name your file after the name of the photo which is located in the upper right hand corner of your analog image example - "bmz-1cc-290", accept the defaults when the Tiff Options window appears.
13.Close your myfolder browser.
14.Head back to the GIS lab
