Personal Information

I was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 15th, 1987.  I moved to Alma, Nebraska when I was 4 years old due to my stepfather’s job.  I have an older brother and a younger sister. My brother just recently moved to Phoenix, AZ. And my sister attends college at Doane in Crete, Nebraska.

I have two sets of parents. I lived with my real mom and step dad. My mother is a respiratory therapist and my stepdad is a hospital administrator. They have recently moved to Chadron, Nebraska.  My real dad and my stepmom live in Colorado Springs still. My dad is a criminalist, writer, teacher and artist. My stepmom is a special education teacher.

Education

I attended school from Kindergarten to my senior year of high school at Alma Public School.  I have attended four different colleges. I started out my freshman year at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, at the time majoring in Graphic Art. Since then I have been to Central Community College in Hastings for a Semester of Photography.  And then back to Kearney to attend CCC Center to just take some general education classes.  And then in the summer of 2008 I moved to Omaha and have been at UNO ever since. I now plan to graduate in 2010 and get my masters at another school, and finish my photography degree else where also.

Travels

I have only traveled to a few states, mainly the Midwest.  Kansas (I lived 7 miles from KS growing up), Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, and that’s about it. My family never traveled much while I was growing up, so of course I have a dream over seeing the world now!

Major

My major right now is Art History, and I would like to finish my photography as well. I plan to finish my masters in art history and become a museum curator. And hopefully someday own my own art gallery...

Why I'm taking this class.

This is my last general education class that is needed for me to graduate once I finish my Art History requirements.
